WCO has used about every Bonefish line out there over the years and the Rio Products Bonefish Line is at the top of the list. We have used this line on Bonefish, Permit and Baby Tarpon in Mexico, The Bahamas, Belize and The Seychelles. We have put it through the paces and no line stays as slick and floats as high in saltwater as the Rio Bonefish Line. It is critical that a saltwater line does not tangle easily on the deck of a boat. We know that shooting line in a moment is really important but that only happens consistently if the line is smooth, not sticky and has minimal memory. The Rio Bonefish does all of this really well.
The other issue is grain weight and nothing is more frustrating for an angler than getting that new rod and someone recommended the wrong line and the line won't shoot. Some anglers blame the rod but most of the time it is the line. We really like the Rio Bonefish on the Salt and also on it predecessor the XI3 the Salt is a better rod and loads at short distances better but we still like the Rio Bonefish on the Salt.
