In the peddle game there is really only one that does it all and that's the Propel Series from Native Watercraft. The ability to not only go forward but to go backwards is unique to Native. If you fish weed lines and offshore structure you know how important it is to control your peddle powered boat in the wind. The ability to peddle backwards gives the angler a tremendous advantage over just being able to peddle forward.

By far the most versatile large peddle fishing kayak on the market is the Native Propel 13. The hands free forward and backwards peddling of the propel allow for ultimate boat control and allows the angler to fish ands free in the wind. No other peddle driven fishing kayak does that! Designed to easily customize/personalize, the Slayer Propel offers bow to stern rails that easily mount Scotty, Ram and Railblaza gear. Go as big as you want or keep it to a minimum; it’s your choice. The Slayer Propel 13’s open storage compartment combines space and easy-access. The boat offers unsurpassed versatility: take it out on your local lake and fish for bass one day, then leave the drive system at home and paddle it for a day of trout fishing on your local rocky river.
So, how fast does it go?
With relaxed pedaling you can cover 4.2 miles per hour all day, and can push to 5.2 miles per hour when that thunderstorm rolls in. The low profile performs great in the wind, especially when under power and has easy-to-use left hand rudder control. The most versatile pedal-driven fishing kayak on the market, the Slayer Propel excels as well in pedal mode as paddled or poled in the skinny water. The drive unit is designed for 12”-18” minimum depth depending on load.
Outfit your Native Propel!
One this page you can outfit your Native Propel with accessories needed to complete your purchase. We offer 15% OFF for anyone buying a Native Propel. There are drop down menus that allow you to add rodholders, a PFD and a paddle to your purchase. No need to go look for it just add it here!
Paddle - We recommend a 240cm paddle for the Propel 13. At 33 " in width the 240 is perfect. For those of you who are tall you might consider a 250cm but we have rarely need to go that long with a 33" boat where the angler sits high.
Rod Holders - We recommend the Zooka Tube as it holds many different rods. It hold both conventional and fly rods. They are also sold on a screwball making them easy to remove from the track system during transportation.
PFD - We recommend the NRS Chinook PFD. It allows the angler to sit back in the Native chair. There is no padding on the lower part of the best which makes it very comfortable. It is a very thought out fishing PFD, it by far our favorite!
Special NOTE: The video on the 13 says it is the only Propel model. This is a 3 year old video and now there is a 10 foot model. Wanted to make sure there was no confusion.
